Data Policies

The Data Policies subcommittee creates and manages policies that govern the creation, access, retention and use of university data.  Some of the responsibilities of the Data Policies subcommittee include:

  • Data Governance Roles - Database Administrators and Stewards
  • Information that resides within or leaves the organization
  • Data Access Requirements
  • Sensitive Information Requirements
  • Data Change Requirements
  • Data Exchange guidelines
  • Data Retention – Archival and Removal time parameters
  • State Open Records policy compliance - legal counsel check in
